Mission statement

The Eagle's Nest Food Pantry provides on-campus resources for Southern Miss students and staff who are temporarily experiencing challenges accessing basic necessities, including food. The Eagle's Nest Food Pantry seeks to ensure that Southern Miss students and staff never go without food because of financial challenges.

Who Do We Serve?

The Eagle's Nest Food Pantry is open and ready to serve students and staff. Thank you to all volunteers and interns who dedicated their time and effort to keep the pantry open during the summer.

Important Information

We are located at The Hub basement. Check the map in iSouthernMiss if you need directions or message us on Facebook.

The pantry will be closed on Wednesday November 25th for the Thanksgiving holiday. After Thanksgiving, the pantry will only be open on Wednesdays from 10 am-12 pm. From December 16th-December 30th, the pantry will be closed. January 6th and January 13th, the pantry will be open from 10 am-12 pm. The pantry will resume normal hours starting Jan. 20th. We will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 am-2 pm.

If you need emergency supplies please visit us January 2, 9:00 - 11:00 and January 3, 9:00 - 11:00. Message us on Facebook if we can help.

Upcoming Events

we are hosting a tabling event for swipe out hunger. Here, students can donate unused swipes from their meal plan and give them students who do not have a meal plan and staff who are struggling to provide for their families.

Your donations make a difference!

The Eagle's Nest continuously accepts donations of non-perishable items, as well as monetary donations. Suggested items for donation include non-perishable food, hygiene items, and school supplies.

The Eagle's Nest accepts donations of non-perishable items, as well as monetary donations. We need school supplies, hygiene items, and a variety of food. These donations can be dropped off at Eagle's Nest or in Fritzsche-Gibbs Hall 202A.
